This week’s photo challenge from the Daily Post is a multi-photo collage of what means “green.” I’ve rounded up many of my favorites, and what I notice is that blue often accompanies green in my pictures thanks to the lakes up here, and also: I really don’t miss that cast.
We are in the throes of a bathroom renovation, and while things are going well, I can’t say they’re going smoothly. Does any renovation? We pulled up the floor, which was on top of a splintery subfloor (which was rotting slowly near the shower), which was on top of a floral, orange-ish linoleum, which was on top of some tiles like those in schools, which was on top of the old, original floors. So that was fun. Additionally, the electric installation included a junction box buried in the wall – not to code, and something we’ll be fixing.
There is good news though: after spending a couple hours last night trying to get the hot water working to the downstairs bathroom (has a bath tub only, and the hot water hasn’t worked to the tub since last summer…we’re obviously not “bath” people), Dad drilled some new holes the mixing valve this morning, returning its functionality. Though I can’t shower, I enjoyed a hot bath tonight and am counting that as a win. I’ll share photos sometime, but in the mean time, please wish us luck :)
