Slowly Falling

We awoke this morning to the scent of Minnesota in the air.  Minnesota wildfires, that is, brought here on the cold front that I think officially marks the end of summer.  It seems so final and foreboding to say it that way, but I’m looking forward to fall.  Specifically, I’m looking forward to fall spices (like nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves) and soups.  Today I made corn chowder, so I’m getting into the soup action early 🙂  We took full advantage of the crisp air this evening and enjoyed a few laps around the path at the local little league park, which is where the pictures come from.  Except the spider.  He’s from the side of the house yesterday afternoon, as a Halloween preview.  Enjoy!
