Sunset and Dessert

We traveled to southern Ohio over the weekend to visit family, because our summer faux B&B season rapidly approaches, and we might not have a chance to make it down there for a while. We got to spend some high-quality time together, making memories that I already cherish. Like always though, we didn’t get to see everyone, and still feel like those we did see, we didn’t see enough.

Since it’s an eight-hour drive from there to here (also here to there in case you were wondering πŸ˜‰ ), I’m a little too road-weary to write much. Instead, I’ll share some photos of tonight’s sunset. Unsurprisingly, we didn’t feel like driving to the lake, so we just walked back our property, and took pictures overlooking our neighbors’ pasture. (Side note to Gary and Jill – we will mow our yard again sometime!)

My rhubarb-strawberry crisp finished perfectly in the time we spent outside. Sunset photographed, dessert relished, cats attended to – I think it’s bedtime. Sweet dreams!

    • I think a couple of horses own it πŸ˜‰
We were out there last night when Jill was putting them to bed. Your pasture and barn make great sunset backgrounds!

    • Thanks Carol! I’d like to report that more than half of the crisp is left. It is not 😦 I will be buying more rhubarb and strawberries soon. The rhubarb was local, and young, but the strawberries were from CA. Hoping to have MI ones soon.

Share your thoughts. I'd love to hear from you :)
