I don’t know if it’s the cool air, the fresh rain, or the dramatic clouds – probably all three – but for the first time in a while, I was drawn outside with my camera this morning. I’m sure I looked cute, traipsing around with the hem of my pants pulled up over my knees and wet sand sticking to my toes. Yep, I’m sure “cute” is the right word 😉 You can be the judge of whether it was worth it:
I am sure you were cute, Heather. 🙂 Perhaps you were the sea urchin. 🙂
I thought the mushrooms were sea urchins. But I suppose I’d rather be a sea urchin than a street urchin. I think I’d like being in an octopus’ garden 😉
Definitely worth it! The good news is, sea urchins don’t have cameras.
They don’t? I’m not sure that’s good news. I bet they have great photo-ops 🙂
I’ve been itching to get out with the camera and see what’s out there…but I want to go farther afield. Yesterday would have been pretty! But spent that weeding…was still a nice day. Love your photos…my experience with pants rolled up is that they get wet anyway. But I’m sure you were cute!
It was a gorgeous day yesterday! I felt like we’d earned it after the cold, cold day preceding…and this cloudy/rainy one today.
Maybe you just haven’t rolled your pants up far enough 😉 I really had the hems of my pants all the way up my thighs…my knees were exposed. If I still got wet, I would have been asking for it! (But general, just cuffed? Absolutely…wet every time.)
Definitely worth it & cute 😉 Sea urchin mushrooms…are they edible?
The other puffballs are edible (they taste a lot like the plain button mushrooms we buy in the grocery store – not sure if they’re common over there), but I don’t think the sea urchin ones are. They do, however, puff out loads of spores when you step on them.
Mushrooms in grocery stores yes! Mushrooms in the wild – not so much here 😦
You’re pretty cute any which way I’d say! 😀
Hahaha! You should see me in my painting clothes, which I’m wearing now. Ick!
