This week, Ben from The Daily Post challenged readers to share a photo that features a light source. The sun is generally the light source I prefer, but considering the time of year, I thought I’d go for something obvious in a different way. Happy Holidays!
Ahhhh – more beautiful Christmas cards!

Do you know, I keep thinking about choosing a photo and printing some out…still haven’t done it!
I do enjoy that soft glow of holiday lights under a new blanket of snow! If only that look could be preserved for the whole season.
Agreed! There’s still snow out there now, but not blanketing everything. With most of December ahead of us, I expect I’ll get another chance for photos, even if the whole season isn’t quite so picture-perfect 🙂
Gorgeous! Like Carol said, you could create Christmas cards with these beauties.
Thanks Ms. Kathy! I certainly could, but will I? 😉
So soft-looking! The lights as well as the snow 🙂 lovely pix.
It reminds me of cake baked with sprinkles inside 🙂
That’s made winter actually look cosy. Nicely done. 🙂
Thanks Graham 🙂 It does look nice and cozy, doesn’t it? Makes me want a hot cocoa! Or better yet – a tottie latte!
Lovely lights! I love when the snow covers the lights…outside. We haven’t put up any lights yet…nor do we have snow on the ground..so I’ll enjoy yours as I sit by the fire. Sigh….
Those aren’t mine 😉 We’ve never put any lights up outside, but I’m thinking pretty seriously about it this year. Just one tree. Then I don’t have to walk around Traverse streets for snow blanketed lights photos 🙂
Fantastic ! and great choice for the challenge 🙂
It’s hard to resist Christmas lights at this time of year – seemed so obvious 😉
